Religious people a hindrance to gay rights
NOTE: These comments are wrong on so many levels, I don't know where to start. Here are a few things that come to mind. First, Satan never really changes his message; it seems that he keeps recycling the same ones over and over. This pastor is not the first one to propose the theory that all mankind will be saved no matter what they do, simply because God made them; the anti-Christ, Nehor, taught the same thing in about 91—90 B.C. The pastor seems to suggest that, since somehow the prophets were wrong when they taught what is written in the Bible (about homosexuality), that there really is no sin, and that we can all simply change our minds about what sin is. Something similar must have been taught sometime between 588 and 570 B.C., because the prophet Lehi spoke out against such teachings. In all, this pastor would do well to take heed as the prophets Jacob and Joseph did in 544 B.C.:

And we did magnify our office unto the Lord, taking upon us the responsibility, answering the sins of the people upon our own heads if we did not teach them the word of God with all diligence; wherefore, by laboring with our might their blood might not come upon our garments; otherwise their blood would come upon our garments, and we would not be found spotless at the last day.

Federal Lawsuit Filed Against Janet Napolitano Over Homeland Security’s Rightwing Extremism Policy
NOTE: In case you haven't heard, the Socialist bimbo that Obama put in charge of the DHS (Dept of Homeland Security) released Tuesday night a memo to all of her departments telling them to be aware of a rise in "right-wing extremism," including all sorts of scary people, yourself included. Read the original memo, and the lawsuit (both linked to in the article) for a better idea. An excerpt:

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center stated, “The Obama Administration has declared war on American patriots and our Constitution. The Report even admits that the Department has no specific information on any plans of violence by so-called ‘rightwing extremists.’ Rather, what they do have is the expression of political opinions by certain individuals and organizations that oppose the Obama administration’s policies... Janet Napolitano is lying to the American people when she says the Report is not based on ideology or political beliefs. In fact, her report would have the admiration of any current or past dictator in the way it targets political opponents.”

The Report specifically mentions the following political beliefs that law enforcement should use to determine whether someone is a “rightwing extremist”:

* Opposes restrictions on firearms
* Opposes lax immigration
* Opposes the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship and the expansion of social programs
* Opposes continuation of free trade agreements
* Opposes same-sex marriage
* Has paranoia of foreign regimes
* Fear of Communist regimes
* Opposes one world government
* Bemoans the decline of U.S. stature in the world.
* Upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India
* . . . and the list goes on

EDITORIAL: 'We want them registered'; Democrats are going after guns
From the article:

Because registration doesn't help solve crime, it is important to ask why government wants to register the people's firearms. History provides the answer. In countries from Australia to England, registration has been used to create lists of guns that later were confiscated by their governments. Despite Mrs. Pelosi's assurances to the contrary, Americans' fear that registration will lead to confiscation is well-founded. Indeed, Mrs. Pelosi's own state of California already has used existing registration lists to confiscate so-called assault weapons just a half-dozen years ago.

The speaker claims registration won't lead to gun confiscation because of the Supreme Court decision in District of Columbia v. Heller, which struck down the District's handgun ban last June. She knows full well that this judgment was based on a narrow 5-4 decision that could be reversed when President Obama gets his opportunity to appoint an additional liberal justice to the court.

NOTE: From the Article:

In Lafayette, Ind., officials with the state's environmental agency threatened protesters with fines if they followed through with their plans to dump tea bags into the Wabash River.

Spokeswoman Amber Finkelstein told USA Today the tea would hurt aquatic life by depleting the water of oxygen. She said the act would be a fineable offense, and that the agency would not allow the protest because the river would not meet minimum water quality standards.

Nonetheless, protesters rallied and enthusiastically dumped a large box of tea bags from a bridge into the Wabash River
